William Campbell is Alive & Well ... (or: "Let It Be Vegetarian")

Macca sez: "Eat No Beef". Word.
I was minding my own business and casually scanning through YouTube the other night when a video popped up titled "Paul McCartney's Meat Free Foods Recipe Competition". Curiosity got the better of me so I checked it out.
In a nutshell, McCartney posted the video as an open invitation to all UK residents challenging them to come up with, and submit, the best meat-free recipe they can to him and they will be in the running to have their recipe featured in the "Linda McCartney Meat Free Foods" frozen meals range.
Really??
I know cooking shows like Masterchef, Hell's Kitchen and Iron Chef are all the rage now, on the verge of over-exposure even, but seriously - this is a former Beatle and one of the most successful songwriters/entertainers of the 20th century. Does he really need to be doing this? This doesn't sound like the same Paul McCartney we know, does it?....
The Beatles "Butcher Cover" - Never released

And then I suddenly remembered: it doesn't make sense because Paul McCartney died way back in 1966 and was replaced by an imposter. The man we see on the YouTube video is actually William Campbell who, unlike McCartney, is alive & well and also a committed vegetarian. I mean, the real McCartney couldn't be a vegetarian could he? He was the guy who appeared on the infamous Beatles "Butcher Cover" surrounded by dismembered dolls and raw red meat!! Are we expected to believe that this is the same guy??

If all this sounds far-fetched - fear not. It sounds made up, but believe me it's true. It must be true, because it's on the Internet! So after scanning all the evidence, I thought I'd bring you all up to speed on the story and the clues that have been provided that prove once and for all that Paul McCartney died in 1966 and was replaced by an imposter named William Campbell. Things get a a little macabre along the way, but stick with it. Let's begin the story....

"Paul Is Dead" - Coincidence or Cover-Up?
On October 12th 1969 a Detroit radio DJ named Russell Gibb announced on-air that Paul McCartney was dead, and that many clues signifying his death a few years earlier were littered across Beatles album covers and song lyrics.  The story of Paul’s alleged death had begun to circulate around American universities throughout September 1969, and when the news reached Gibb he was impressed enough to announce the news on his radio show.

The basic story went as follows: that Paul McCartney was involved in a fatal car accident at 5am on Wednesday, November 9th, 1966, following an all-night Beatles recording session. It was alleged that Paul left hastily after an argument with the other Beatles and was speeding at the time he passed through an intersection and collided with another vehicle. The result was a horrific crash in which Paul was burned and disfigured beyond recognition.
When the rest of the Beatles’ inner circle were made aware of the stunning news that the male occupant of the car was Paul, severe shock turned to panic as they endeavoured to keep the news from leaking out to the media. Understanding the impact that such traumatic news would have on the legion of Beatles fans around the globe, a cover-up was devised, involving Paul being replaced by a lookalike.

William Campbell, Beatles White Album, 1968
A “Paul McCartney Look-Alike” Contest was scheduled in early 1967 - enter William Campbell, the winner who was offered a significant amount of money to become “the new Paul”. It was to be made easier for Campbell to succeed in the cover-up by the announcement from the Beatles in 1967 that they would no longer tour, preferring instead to develop their sound in the studio. The only discernible difference between Campbell and McCartney was a small scar on Campbell’s upper lip – which the real Paul didn’t have. William Campbell’s photo appeared in the poster that accompanied The Beatles (The "White Album") in 1968.
With Campbell on board, the Beatles carried on together, but decided to release a number of clues on their album covers and within song lyrics that would reveal the fate of the real Paul.

The first major clues were included on the Sgt Pepper album, being the first album produced by the Beatles following the death of Paul, and are as follows:
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 1967
  • The cover is symbolic of a funeral held for the “Beatles”, showing the name of the band being spelled out in flowers over the grave. The passing of the Beatles was to be replaced with a new identity – “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”
  • A flower arrangement in the shape of a bass guitar is laid out in the foreground. When looking at this arrangement closely, it seems to spell out “PAUL?”, as if questioning whether McCartney still exists
  • A raised hand appears above Paul’s head, which is said to be an Indian sign of death

· Wax replicas of the young Beatles appear to the left of the group – with Paul consoling Ringo as he mourns over the grave site

· When a mirror is held horizontally across the centre of the words “Lonely Hearts” on the kick drum, a message appears, which reads:

“1 ONE IX HE ^ DIE”

The “1 One” can be interpreted as “11”, whilst “1X” may be interpreted as the roman numeral “9” - thus giving us the date of the fatal accident – 11/9, or November 9 (following the American system of month /date /year when referring to dates). The next letters clearly spell out “HE DIE”, with an arrow pointing directly up at Paul.

· On the back cover of the album, Paul is the only “Beatle” with his back turned on the camera, as if he no longer fit in with the rest of the group. The album’s song lyrics were superimposed on the back cover, and the words “WITHOUT YOU” appear to the right of Paul’s head
  • The lyrics to “A Day In The Life” detail the aftermath of the accident in November 1966 that killed Paul:

“…He blew his mind out in a car … he didn’t notice that the lights had changed …. A crowd of people stood and stared …. They’d seen his face before….”.

This was rumoured to be the first song that John Lennon wrote following Paul’s death.

More clues followed on The Beatles (White Album) in 1968:
  • On the inside cover, the large portrait of "Paul" clearly shows a scar on his lip – which the real Paul didn’t have – supposed proof that the photo was of Paul’s replacement, William Campbell
  • At the very end of Lennon’s track “I’m So Tired” some gibberish is spoken - before the start of “Blackbird”. When played backwards, the phrase “Paul is a dead man – miss him, miss him, miss him” can be heard
  • During the track “Revolution 9” the phrase “Number 9, Number 9” is repeated over and over. When played backwards, you can hear phrase “Turn me on dead man, turn me on dead man”
  • Amidst the cacophony of sound that is “Revolution 9”, a violent car crash can be heard, followed by the words “get me out! get me out!”, which is a vivid description of the accident that claimed Paul
Abbey Road, 1969

Finally, some of the most revealing clues surfaced on the Beatles Abbey Road album in 1969:
  • The cover of Abbey Road depicts a funeral procession, with John as the minister, Ringo as the undertaker, Paul as the deceased, and George as the gravedigger
  • Paul is barefoot and has his eyes closed, representing a corpse, and is also out of step with the other three, who are leading with the left foot
  • Paul has a cigarette in his right hand, although he is a natural left-hander
  • The car on the road in the distant background is heading directly for Paul
  • A black morgue wagon is parked on the right side of the road
  • The VW parked on the left has a license plate that says “28IF” (meaning that Paul would have been 28-years old - or in his 28th year of life - IF he had lived)

So there you have it. Pretty convincing stuff. And it actually makes a lot of sense now, looking back, knowing that it was William Campbell, not McCartney, that was responsible for that sappy stuff that Wings put out in the 1970's. He continued to release sub-standard material in the 1980's, toured the world numerous times, and was eventually knighted by Queen Elizabeth II as "Sir Paul McCartney" in the late 90's. Not bad for a stand-in...

  1. The back ground for this album is complete unstaged, the man that stands in the background never knew who the Beatles where and never knew he would be appearing on the cover, he was standing their about the cross the road when he seen 4 strange men continuously crossing the road. When I interviewed this man he loved the fact he was on the cover, and that everybody over the would has seem him, but has never listened to e Beatles and to this day is still unaware of what kind of songs they played.

  3. Paul McCartney lives a few minutes walk from the studios. He walked around with slip-on sandals on to do the take. Hence why he was barefoot. Occasionally he would walk around to the studios in his slippers.

My nephew met him about 10 years back, recognised his Liverpool accent and talked about Liverpool in detail. No plant could ever have such knowledge.

I am completely inclined to believe this conspiracy theory is true. On a lighter note, even if it is true, it still is no where near as terrible as the False Flag of 911 done to the gullible people of the United States. Bill Campell or Fake Paul did not kill anyone. I could forgive him and the folks behind it. 911 and the treason, horror, and murder behind it leaved me enraged to this day.

The British Press would have been all over this story once news coverage of the alleged 'accident' happened. And remember it is well documented by George Martin himself that it was McCartney that wanted to get back together to do one final album that was to be Abbey Road. George Martin of all people does not come across as someone who would play along. Clues in Rubber Soul = rubbish. That album was `1965. Clues in Yesterday and Today (Butcher Cover) = rubbish. That album was early 1966. Clues in Revolver = rubbish. That album was late summer 1966. You people need to give your head a shake

    1. See my comment and link below. I address your objections directly below. Except:

      1. re. Yesterday and Today/Butcher: the drawing by John Lennon mentioned below is on that album; the drawing seems to be PID and that would fit, if Paul died a short time later) and John was mourning plus using it emotionally to tune into the general death theme on the front, in his grief. The drawing is saliently different than the front cover theme, in several ways.

      2. Your human objections, re. "who would play along", etc.
Those are handled at the link (albeit in a jumble currently, for the writing ballooned as the article morphed -- it needs fixing).

  11. Agreed clues earlier than 1966 are rubbish and don't fit the timeline, though some people have speculated.

"Maxwell" as Mi5 name comes from disinfo or joke film "Last Testament of George Harrison", which gets most things wrong and deliberately messes with audio and timelines to the point it's completely wrong.

However, there ARE real clues, in the purest, strict sense, four of them provable in a physical or textual sense -- one is Feb 1967 Beatles Book as a disclaimer (rather than a clue, if this is real), a literal textual reference, with a deflection for the likely date; two are to do with another 1967 item and are visual; one is an optically impossible item (thus must be added) during a camera pan where the stationary item has no blur (yet the clue is late 1995).

Information on clues is in the " Intro: The Rumours & "Clues" " section at the following link. Go to Table of Contents using browser find, or go to Intro by name:
    http://youcanknowsometimes.blogspot.ca/2013/03/off-topic-new-paul-is-dead-clue-from.html

Also, article has 21 new screen shots of the once-debated false ears on Sir Paul, and this source is also earlier: May 1968.

Also discussed is a 2-way massive injury to a head of a young man with PID overtones, in a drawing by John Lennon.

Clues don't prove it, formally speaking, but they do add up into more information to consider if the formal proof (forensics) can be determined, as a literal limited proof.

Optics on the real ears. Screen shots of whole scenes from Free as a Bird 1995 clues. Screen shots of Mal Evans book page from Iamaphoney in 2 differently redacted image sets.

    And much more.

Organization is currently awkward; skip to Table of Contents after first segments.

    Cheers

My Dear Friend Susan, Here are two possible reason as why He (Paul McCartney had a DNA Test: 1. Possible of a cover up to keep from being found out whether he (Paul McCartney) was the {Real Paul McCartney OR NOT. 2. 60IF: The True Story of Paul McCartney's Death in 1966

WEBMASTER'S NOTE: The following is a deathbed confession of George Harrison concerning some very morbid and disturbing facts about Paul McCartney and the Beatles. The important thing to note is that George specifically requested that this information be released to the public in time for the real Paul McCartney's birthday on June 18th of this year, the day on which Paul would have been 60...IF he were alive.

    Sunday, September 11th, 1966, Evening

His name was William Sheppard and he had formerly been an Ontario police officer. He was also a musician who was familiar with, and fond of, the music of the Beatles. He had a beautiful voice but the quality of his Paul voice imitation was not as good as that of the boy who had already been working with us; however his face as presented was wonderfully compatible as regards to the profile and jaw, two key factors in determining the correct candidate that the cosmetic surgeons could use.

Despite this, there were a number of differences:
    Paul was far-sighted
    Bill was near-sighted
Paul had hair that naturally went from left to right
Bill had (has) hair that went naturally from right to left
    Paul had a round face
    Bill had a long face
    Paul was left handed
    Bill was right handed

In an irony of fate the "substitutes" had inverted heights: The substitute of Paul was taller and the counterpart of Brian was smaller. For this, they suggested tricks that we were to adopt when we were filmed together.

When Bill was in the police he was nicknamed (playing on his last name) "Sgt.Pepper" because he liked to drink and his nose, a bit rounded, was often red. After plastic surgery John gave Bill the nickname of "Faul". Our introduction to Faul was the national hymn at the start of "All You Need Is Love", and "Sgt.Pepper" was the first album with the photos of Faul even though they needed to be retouched.

This album cover is full of messages. Many of those that you have discovered are true, others are not, others have been badly interpreted.

One of the most important is "Welcome The Rolling Stones" written with blood. We hadn't had news about who it was that had killed Paul and John was sure that his murder had been commissioned by the Rolling Stones as they were well-known as delinquents. The crowd is made up of those that Paul would have wanted at his funeral.

I post it here simply as food for thought.

  23. How has Paul, a smoker, not gotten sick at all and still has a voice that sounds as though he hasn't taken a puff for as many years as he has.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Do the research, folks. There is something amiss. Most people now don't even remember the real Paul. The previous post about girls at the time who idolized Paul, and suddenly had no feeling for him is interesting, and I've heard it many times. The personality change between the last interview in 66 and that in 67 (the LSD admission) not to mention height, eye color, head size and shape, hair color, vocal differences - there are way too many physical differences. Then you have sudden decision to stop touring, his breaking with fiancée Jane Asher, the murder of John Lennon and Mal Evans, who was about to publish his memoirs, and Heather Mills shocking allegations add up to a rotten apple.

  25. Paul is NOT dead. I was told by Lennon in the late seventies, that in the early sixties the bealtes though thier music would fade so they came up with the idea to leave clues in their music and album covers that in fact Ringo was dead. They chose Ringo because he was the most popular Beatle at the time, but Ringo refused to do it so Paul said he will do it. And to totally pull it off they had that McCartney look alike contest to make people belivev Paul was replaced. And to this day Paul McCartney and Ringo are still playing it off. They want the Beatles to live on forever, which I believe they will just because of their incredible songs. So yea, McCartney is still alive and kicking and can still write incredible bealtes like tunes. He's been writing really great songs for 60 years! You think an imposter could do that! Oh yea, that recording from Harrison is a fake...it's NOT George on those tapes.

  26. I remember the PID mania back in the 60s, never believed it. But over the years I couldn't help but notice that Paul was no longer attractive the way he had been. It wasn't just aging as he didn't look that old. He just no longer had that sultry smoldering way about him. He was too animated, slightly silly, just not "him." Most of all he didn't look as good, long thin face, eyes too wide open and faded in color, his hair parted on the other side, really dark almost black hair and beard like it was dyed, long thin nose. It was like he was an actor playing Paul. The worst was the SNL after his face surgery, he looked dreadful, but most notably had zero charisma. I've compared most of the Paul/Faul pics, the early Paul has an almost Elvis quality of appeal that jumps off the page, the Faul photos complete dud. Can this be the same man? Faul's speaking voice has a high, thin smooth note, Paul's was velvety and rumbly bumbly, sexy. I have no idea if the real Paul died and was replaced by a double but if it did happen it would go a long way to explaining why John was so determined to leave and his hostility to Faul (sounds just like something he'd come up with) and his anger at people blaming Yoko for breaking up the Beatles.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I totally agree with that. Even in photo's where you really can't see any significant physical differences, there STILL IS something very...well, not right. Look at the eyes? It's his SOUL. Billy Shears has sold his sole....and why do you think George went all religious like..probably worried he might not be going to a good place either. Seems impossible, but yeah, stranger things have happened. And as an avid Harrison fan, the Last Testament tape is a very poor attempt to imitate George's voice. Maybe he wrote it and someone else read his script. After all, just imagine if some MI5 person knobbled Olivier..she'd have to say it wasn't George and she knew nothing about it. There must have been/ be many people involved in this scam, and it was 'pay off' or 'bump off', take your pick. Clearly Jane Asher's Dad was not too pleased about Faul dumping Jane, and threatened to spill the beans! He ended up dead in his cellar etc etc.

  29. This is really funny. Point of order on the Abbey Road stuff:
"The car on the road in the distant background is heading directly for Paul
A black morgue wagon is parked on the right side of the road"

    1. Over here we drive on the left so the car in the distance is driving away. Besides, traffic was held up for 10 minutes for police while they did the shoot.
    2. It's a late 1960s police van.

Generally the changes in Paul's appearance were basically due to him ageing.

A lot of the 'clues' were deliberate as the band found these claims of Paul dying funny. Everything else is coincidence.

    Peace x

    1. True about the police van and car, small errors don't change the narrative but cleaning up details helps. Without corroboration all this is just hersay, but the photos and the timing of the Beatles exile from touring is very compelling. Ask yourself ridiculous questions and you can answer them quickly.... but try to intelligently answer questions about this or explain everything away as ridiculous and you can't. Remember, these men (Beatles) were talented but they were barely educated and did not even know how to read or write music. Their complete failure to deal with fame, whilst other bands (stone???) Seemed to thrive in it shows how naive and unprepared they were. Trace the easiest route to this story and you'll find it most plausible. The simpler you keep it the more possible it becomes. Why was John the only one murdered btw??? It is well documented that he had a huge fear of safety and his pananoia was to do with being murdered... yet the other Beatles could move with ease.....???

  33. DOn't know if anyone's commented this but the Paul look alike competition never happened in early 1967. I believe one happened at one point but not in that period.
Any points about his face changing can easily be explained by the amount of drugs he was doing at the time.
Then you have the Lennon solo song How Do You Sleep. It references the theory in the line 'those freaks was right when they said you were dead' and for me this is confirming that Paul did NOT die. If Paul really had died then I see why they would carefully conceal clues in their music but none of them would be stupid enough to do anything as obvious as that. Also, the anger and spite in the songs other lyrics reference things Paul did before and after his apparent death without making any kind of division. And would John have written a song that angry about the guy they drafted in to replace Paul? It just doesn't add up.
I do think the clues are intentional but the theory just doesn't seem logical to me. It makes much more sense that it was a publicity stunt that would boost sales when discovered as in late 66 Epstein and Martin were both worried that the avant garde aspect of their music would mean a drop in sales.

  35. it'a incredible how peoples still talk after more than 40 years, about this, Paul must be delusional when he reads, or if we talk about him, must tell himself that people believe all kinds of stupidity, they(Beatles) have just been more brilliant than all those who believe them true these stories invented of any piece ...

  37. Despite the overwhelming evidence from clues alone I can make a case from mere comparisons of Biological Paul and Faux Paul (Billy Shears) in images from pre mid 1966 and those beginning in the fall of 1966. The comoarisons aren't even close, with Paul's round cherub like face compared to Faul's elongated one, or Paul being the same size as Jane Asher to Faul towering over her in only a few months. Men at 24 do not suddenly sprout a few inches.

If one is honest with themselves and still believe that it's the same person than either they are lying and have an agenda or are victims of a incredible case of denial and are likely candidates for confirmation bias. This is one of the easiest conspiracy assertions to prove and yet it's considered a "fringe" subject even within conspiracy analyst circles.. In the end I must state: I will believe my own eyes over establishment lies.
